Summer Holiday Day 6: Westport and Galway

The day began in our glamping pod Airbnb. The rain was off but it was still very windy. We walked down to the water’s edge for a better view of the enormous waves coming in off the Atlantic.

Our destination today was Galway. On the way we stopped in Westport (and took the photo above), the birthplace of Orla and Conor’s Great x4 Grandfather who made his was to Scotland in the 1850s.

In Galway we checked into our hotel, The Connacht, and relaxed for a bit before heading out for dinner and taking in the atmosphere of the Latin Quarter. We also visited the Aran Sweater Market and made a couple of purchases.
