It was a hot afternoon, the last day of June….

My friend Carmen loves this house under the hill, and wanted to buy it but it wasn’t for sale at the right time. 
Yesterday we had a massive power cut, affecting most of our neighbourhood. EDF said it would be fixed by 9.30pm and at 9.29 they said no, actually it would be today at 1.30pm! So early this morning Mr F dashed off to Brico Depot to buy a generator. 
After a long walk with Elvis, and hours setting up the generator, the power came on again! We are ready for the next one!
The weather has cheered up again, and I spent a hot afternoon weeding and cutting back, then after a shower and Shania Twain (quite disappointing I thought) we’re eating leftover paella, drinking rosé, and watching England.
