Berlin - Church & Football

It was wonderful being back in Berlin again after an absence of 17 years. I used to visit each year in the first decade of the 2000s up till 2007.

The main photo shows the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church with its Bell Tower wrapped in a huge banner for the UEFA Euro 2024 football tournament. The final will take place in Berlin 2 weeks from today.
On the right you can see some of the tents in the huge fan zone. This was taken early Sunday morning and it was very busy by lunchtime.

In the Extra I have added a very special sculpture or art work that symbolises the coming together of the east and the west in Berlin. You can just see the church through the arch.
