Before... (Monday 1st July 2024)

Diary blip. Already, we're into the second half of the year. Before long the kitchen floor will match the new floor covering in the bathroom, but this morning the old cork tiles were scraped off the kitchen floor in readiness, and the kitchen is inconveniently out of action.

Dry Cleaning - Viking Hair (recorded 2019, Sidcup)
Bofore they got signed to Four AD, Dry Cleaning had released two six-track cassettes on their own label, It's OK. This year both were collected onto a CD. Today I listened to it through for the first time. Viking Hair comes from the second cassette, Boundary Road Snacks And Drinks, originally released in October 2019, and featuring Florence Shaw's wry spoken observations.
