Monday, and back to work. In the afternoon, P and I went for a short walk, and this thistle next to the road just asked to be blipped.

All day I've been feeling help- and speechless about the election and its first results in France. Why on earth has Macron opened the door for a far-right, openly racist and anti-European party to take over? Hubris?

It reminds me of David Cameron calling for the Brexit referendum, which backfired badly, too - damaging both the country and continent in the process.
