Sangardak waterfall

This morning we left Boysun after a short visit to the handicraft centre. We were warned the road to Denau was very rough but it was no worse than some of the others we've experienced on this trip. We stopped off for a view of Kyzyl Canyon but it was deemed too dangerous to attempt a hike.

After checking into the hotel in Denau we made the 1 hour trip to Sangardak waterfall where it was lovely and cool. It was very busy with hundreds of locals and Uzbek tourists who were very keen to take photos with us (some by request and others from a distance). No complaints here as I did take this shot when this group lined up for a photographer. It was lovely to chat with a few of the youngsters who spoke very good English. An unexpected highlight of the trip so far.
