Leaving of Liverpool

Our last morning in Liverpool, of course we had plenty of hotel breakfast and a final swim - five swims in four days.

This left us an hour to briefly browse somewhere and our hotel was conveniently situated for several museums but most were shut on a Monday! No problem, we went to the Tate which is in temporary accommodation at the moment and only has a few displays. That filled our time fine though.

Then back up to the station through Liverpool One where we had time to look in Waterstones and buy two books, and also buy brownies from a street food van.

An uneventful journey home, we grazed on food and watched a film (Hotel Transylvania: Transformania) and CyclopsJnr read one of his new books.

We returned to summer in Edinburgh! Why didn't we take our holiday there?! Only joking, Liverpool was a great city for a short break and plenty more that we didn't have time to do so perhaps we'd go again. The hotel was also terrific for facilities and location.
