Buddleia
Well, the “Chelsea chop” that I did on the buddleia at the end of May as an experiment in trying to curb its over zealous growth has certainly worked - but maybe a bit too well. It still doesn’t have any flowers and the ones that are forming are very small. But the plant isn’t taking over the border like it usually does so the jury is still out on whether it was a good idea or not.
Actually, looking at this picture, the border looks a bit of a mess at the moment. It looks a bit better in person, but it’s also a bit in between spring and summer so I probably need to plant some things to fill that gap. Next year!
Work is getting very busy as we move towards preparations for the next academic year. I’ve put off doing some tasks for a bit too long as there were other things that needed doing that were easier and therefore more attractive, but now the deadlines are looming. A busy few days ahead this week! I guess this would explain why I’m not sleeping very well at the moment. One day I might learn not to put the hard stuff off until it’s almost too late!
