Tuesday: Doves in the Elderberries

Bright sunshine when I got up at 6:30 this morning but it had clouded over an hour later …

After breakfast we took the old freezer to the “Dump” (recycling centre) along with the packaging of the new freezer and a few other things chosen by MrD …

Next stop Lidl for groceries, fresh fruit and veggies and of course some frozen food … including treats! :-))

Many of the birds have noticed that the elderberries have ripened, the goldfinch were eating them at breakfast time - lots of very small berries this year, perfect for small beaks :-) 

The Collared Doves are much bigger and they were enjoying the “pick your own” elderberries, they got a bit spooked when I went to the window and flapped around a bit - managed to get a couple of poor photos 

Tonight we’re continuing with “Spooks” … on series 2 now …
