Summer Holiday Day 10: Dublin
The drive from Cork to Dublin was almost entirely on motorway, so much faster progress than the frequent single track roads of Donegal and Kerry. We stopped for a picnic at the Rock of Dunmase, an ancient ruined castle on a hill that gave us spectacular views of the Leinster countryside.
We are staying in the Maldron Hotel, next to St Patrick's Cathedral so that was the first thing we checked out on a walking tour of the city. We didn't really have enough time to go into any museums, we just walked about, taking in the atmosphere, see sights such as the Custom House in the photo. We will have more time to do stuff tomorrow.
