A morning walk
What has happened to our summer? It was back to long sleeved tops and jeans today, it really is turning out to be such a wash out of a summer. This was taken on our morning walk, at least the woods are bone dry now so you don't get muddy, in fact the clay soil is cracking and very hard.
I went to my weekly golf rollup - it will be the last one for quite a few weeks as we are heading off to Switzerland quite soon and as Gavin will be working from there we are staying for quite a few weeks. When the children were little I would go for six weeks and Gavin would commute every second weekend, nowadays working from home means that is not necessary.
We were outside working on our lofted chip shots around a green, and it started raining lightly, but we carried on regardless - just when we were all quite wet it started raining harder so we had to move back inside to the covered driving range. Although it soon stopped and as the ground is so dry, the rain makes no difference to the hard ground.
Last night I watched a few episodes of Clarkson's Farm, I am a bit late to the party as this has been on for ages, but Tommy recommended I watch it - I did enjoy it and found it very funny.
Tomorrow we vote for our general election. After much consideration I have decided it best to base my decision on the strength of the local candidate rather than voting for the party for the party's sake if that makes sense. I did a bit of research as to which local candidate offers the best options for our local area.
