the comeback kid

History was made today in the Tour de France.  Mark Cavendish (aka the Manx Missile) won his 35th stage victory, surpassing the record of 34 wins held by the great Eddy Merckx.  

He crashed out of the race last year and with age against him, many thought his racing career over. But no.  He made it look easy today.

Eddy Merckx's record stood for over 40 years, which makes Cav's achievement even more amazing.
