White Letter Hairstreak

Did my bit and voted and always disappointed not to find the 'none of the above' option on the ballot form - we're doomed!!

So to escape the impending misery, whoever gets in!, I escaped to the local nature reserve to enjoy the sunshien while it's back, and it was butterfly galore over there!! Definitely noticing the butterflies are enjoying the grassland areas along with the blackberry brambles/bushes and I was spoilt for choice with sightings - lost count of marbled whites and meadow browns, spotted red admirals, small heaths, commas, green veined whites, skippers and a couple of lovely white letter hairstreaks - if only they'd learn to sit still and pose nicely!!

noticeably quiet on the bird front over there! Except for black headed gulls!
