Tangle of thoughts

Today another home visit about E's healthcare budget. A bit of a surprise. With this budget we can organize and purchase the care surrounding E. During the previous conversation, everything seemed to be in order, but the case manager still wanted to know more. We had another good conversation. She asked a lot about the progressive part of E's disease, and the differences between now and a year ago. To be honest, I got the feeling that she wanted to know how we feel about increasingly difficult care. These types of conversations are very confrontational, and my head was quite full for the rest of the day. It feels a bit like this tangle of lines (photo) that I was doodling this afternoon.
A letter with conclusions will follow within a few weeks. I don't worry about that because the lady was very clear when concluding the conversation: she thought we came across as solid and realistic and that we work well with the resources we have, and was very complimentary.
