It's been a blustery day of bright sunshine and sharp showers.

I drove up to New Galloway for a singing workshop with the Zimbabwean group Black Umfolosi, who are performing at CatStrand this evening. We learned a song with some tricky vocal clicks and some dance moves too - reminded me of singing in Zambia and all the lovely harmonies.

I went for a walk around the fields when I got home - we used to call this one the "telegraph field" - you can see what. It's just been cut for silage so was lovely to walk in. The adjoining field, higher up, hasn't been cut yet and was alive with so many swallows and martins - an uplifting sight.
