2024 Wednesday — Day before the 4th

The beach has lots of sand and very few people today. The difference tomorrow will be enormous. Today we can see few people; tomorrow we’ll see lots of people.

My photo does not show this — but the main street through this town, Ocean Avenue, is lined with camp chairs, beach chairs, blankets and towels to sit on as the parade moves thru town from the south toward the north.

The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and will last about 1 hour. We have friends coming to watch it with us. July 4th is one of the best days in Cayucos. It is a great day to be in town.
