Inspiration

Today we said our goodbyes to a much loved friend and colleague, who was quite honestly the most professional person I have ever known, and at the same time funny, kind and caring. She was completely devoted to her family, friends and her work in equal measure, endlessly committed to making a difference for vulnerable children and young people. I was lucky enough to work closely with her for nearly 20 years, and she shaped my professional practice entirely. “Every day, another opportunity to shine!” She encouraged us to shine because she shone so brightly herself.

I thought of her later in the day when I was casting my vote, hopefully one which will contribute to the change we so badly need in this country.
