Bike Bonanza

These are our clients bikes ready to be checked in, with the start gantry (green cube) for the swim in the background.

There were some 4,000 bikes checked into the secure compound ready for tomorrow.

Background information  - athletes swim 3.8km, get on the bike near the swim venue to ride 180km to another location, and finally run a marathon. Start is from 06.30, so the logistics of getting 3 kit bags and a bike to the right place for every person is a challenge. 

We leave our hotels at 04.30 to allow plenty of preparation and checking time (fluids and nutrition needs to be loaded on the bikes cold and fresh). Almost 300,000 spectators will watch, many lining the roads in the villages on the route and having beer / street parties.
