Hard-core Path

A fine day, fairly calm but cloudy all day.  The sun peeped out tonight at 2145, a lovely sunset too. 

Up early, headed out walkies with Sammy.  Sold and dropped off my old sofa, then straight into the garden for the day.  Big Brian and Madeline popped by for a look.  Met friend Julie for walkies before tea.  A busy night working in the shop.  Might try a pint on my way home. 

Me and peerie Brian made good progress on the garden path today.  We dug out the worst of the topsoil, which has been kept for other purposes.  Next up was laying the weed control barrier fabric.  We next filled buckets with hard-core, had to drag it down by hand to lay in top, tried my best to stomp it down.  While I was out walkies, Brian made a batch of concrete and got another step put in.  Halfway through here, but we got it all covered.  Hopefully run more concrete tomorrow.  Taken at Hawthorn Cottage, Houl Road, Scalloway.
