Lowther Castle

I drove north up the M6 to meet G at Lowther Castle.  We had intended to walk around the grounds but the weather was iffy at best so we plumped for coffee and lunch instead.

There was a brief break in the rain so we took advantage to have a wander and enjoyed the rose garden which was particularly fragrant.

Lunch in the cafe and we put the world to rights.  

Home via the A6 and Kendal where it is sunny now.
