Iona
We went to Iona today. We got across in time to go to the service in Iona Abbey. After that we had lunch in the St Columba hotel and a short stroll around their gardens. Blip is the view of the Abbey from the gardens. We then walked through the village, looking into the various gift shops as we went and walked along to a beach that has been very fruitful for cowrie shells in the past. And it proved to be so again today. Extra is the view from that beach. With our cowrie bounty in our pockets, we walked back to the village for a coffee and cake, before catching the ferry back to Fionnphort and drove back to the caravan. As an added bonus, it was sunny and dry all day, and even warm at some points!
