A day at sea

We spent Friday night and the whole of Saturday at sea with no land in sight at all but we certainly weren’t bored. There was a variety of optional lectures and workshops to attend as well as keeping a lookout for whales. Our patience was rewarded in the late afternoon when there was a flurry of cetacean activity and we were treated to sightings of a minke whale, at least ten pilot whales and three fin whales over a period of about an hour. It was so exciting but sadly I was too busy watching these fascinating creatures with my binoculars to even attempt a photo.
After all that excitement we had the anticipation of a wonderful seafood buffet for our evening meal. The food on this trip has been imaginative and delicious, catering for all tastes.
