Citadel Hill

After brunch today I went to the Kite Festival on Citadel Hill. Unfortunately there was not much of a breeze. People flying the smaller kites had no problem getting them up, but the larger ones didn't stay up for very long. I did manage to get a couple of shots of the one I included in the extras. The large intricate kites that have been there for the past few years were not even there. I'm not sure if the people that own them were not available or if they just didn't bother to go because of the weather.
I walked all the way around Citadel Hill. The main photo was taken just before the changing of the guard. A bus tour had just arrived to watch it, so I didn't stay, too many people in front of me. Standing there in the full regalia is brutal in this weather.

After the cool weather on Friday, rain on Saturday, this afternoon was hot and humid. There is a heat warning out for the next couple of days, humidex readings will be in the mid-30's. We are starting work at 8 am this week, instead of 8:30.
