First of the season!

Limited  photos today , the birds were generally not cooperating and mostly only honey bees in the flowers. And I spent some time knitting this AM, our church service is at the awful hour of 11:45AM which means out at almost 1and it was hot and sunny . After lunch into the pool to get cool. Was very surprised to find this moth in the betony and not the butterfly bush .
the extra is the one bird that did a fly over (other than the Blue Angels on their way home from the weekends airshow at the local airport). We initially thought it was a peregrine as it looked like mostly white /gray when first seen > It picked up a thermal and kept spiraling up and then away. i did run off a bunch of shots but only had the 300 with me as I was looking for butterflies. It turns out to be an osprey. that is the third time I have seen one over the river this year, not usual for this area.
