Yn aml rydw i'n cwyno am bethau a gollwyd, a anghofiwyd, neu a esgeuluswyd yng Nghaerdydd. Am y dyfodol mae'n bwysig i mi gefnogi'r pethau rydw i eisiau gweld yn parhau. Heddiw, ar ôl glaw yn y bore, roedd haul yn ddisglair yn y prynhawn, felly aethon ni i Barc y Mynydd Bychan. Rydyn ni wedi clywed bod yr hen siop goffi wedi cael ei hadnewyddu ac roedd hi'n agor eto. Felly aethon ni i'w cefnogi.

Mae'r siop goffi dim ond adeilad llwyd sgwâr ger yr ardal chwarae’r plant a'r cyrtiau tenis. Mae'r bobl yn gyfeillgar ac mae'r coffi yn dda. Maen nhw hyd yn oed yn cael toiled sy'n ar agor pan mae'r siop goffi ar agor. Bwysig iawn. Felly eisteddon ni ar y byrddau, yn yfed coffi ac yn bwyta hufen iâ. Mae'r prynhawn yn parhau heulog a mwynheuon ni'r awyr glas a chymylau'r haf.

Aethon ni am dro o gwmpas y parc a darganfyddwn ni rhan arall o Goedwig Gaerdydd. Dros y parc, mae'r cyngor yn gadael y glaswellt yn tyfu ac maen nhw wedi bod yn plannu mwy o goed. Yn un cornel maen nhw wedi plannu coed afal. Anhygoel. Nid dim ond coed, ond coed ffrwythau. Mae arwydd yn dweud "Mae hwn yn ofod tyfu ac arweinir a reolir gan y gymuned. Mae'n darparu dal carbon, bioamrywiaeth, cydlynant cymunol, a thyfu bwyd lleol, tra'n helpu i arddangos modelau amgen o amaethyddiaeth drefol". Rydw i'n meddwl ei fod menter wych.

Felly dwy peth i ddathlu a chefnogi - y siop goffi a'r berllan drefol.

Roeddwn i'n meddwl y byddwn i'n postio llun o'r siop goffi, ond yn lle hynny, coeden afalau ydyw. Boed i'r ddau fod yn llwyddiannus..

I often complain about things that have been lost, forgotten or neglected in Cardiff. For the future it is important for me to support the things I want to see continue. Today, after rain in the morning, the sun was shining in the afternoon, so we went to Heath Park. We had heard that the old coffee shop had been renovated and was opening again. So we went to support them.

The coffee shop is just a square grey building near the children's play area and the tennis courts. The people are friendly and the coffee is good. They even have a toilet that is open when the coffee shop is open. Very important. So we sat on the tables, drinking coffee and eating ice cream. The afternoon continued sunny and we enjoyed the blue sky and summer clouds.

We went for a walk around the park and discovered another part of Cardiff Forest. Across the park, the council is letting the grass grow and they have been planting more trees. In one corner they have planted apple trees. Amazing. Not just trees, but fruit trees. A sign says "This is a community-led and managed growing space. It provides carbon capture, biodiversity, communal cohesion, and growing local food, while helping to showcase alternative models of urban agriculture". I think it's a great initiative.

So two things to celebrate and support - the coffee shop and the urban orchard.

I thought I'd post a picture of the coffee shop, but instead, it's an apple tree. May they both be successful.
