Blackforest

Today was John's leaving party at his flat in New Town. The party and his flat was gorgeous. It was nice to meet so many of John and Sabina's friends that they have made in Edinburgh in the last year.

The highlights of the party were:
1. My black forest cake: I was complimented by nearly everybody about my cake. John and Sabina really appriciated my German cake box (gifted by Tom).
2. John's Kalava dance: John who was very touched by the Bollywood meal the other day taught everybody his favorite move from the class after I insisted.
3. Walk around the closed Garden: John's family has access to a private garden in New Town. It was a lovely walk around the garden and discussing everything from the Iron Lady to Kier Stramer to Palestine!
4. Lovely bunch of new people: I found the people to be very warm at the party. They all were positive, encouraging and just nice.
5. 3 New book recommendations: Are you experienced by William Sutcliffe, the Slap by Christos Tsiolkas and the Marriage Potrait by Maggie O'Farrell. All thanks to Sabina, John and there friends.

I left close to 9 and returned home swiftly thanks to number 10 bus!
