5 spot Burnet Moth...
A sunny morning to start the week, so too good an opportunity to miss a little butterfly hunt, despite everything aching! Kept to a flat walk and enjoyed bumper sightings of all things flying - marbled whites, meadow browns, skippers, gatekeepers, peacocks, commas, red admirals, small heaths and a lovely burnet moth in the meadow.
Still very quiet on the buzzy bee sightings though...where are they all hiding?! Very worrying!
Not many birds about either but did see a female blackcap, lots of Long tailed tits & goldfinches, reed bunting, a couple of egrets, swans and black headed gulls.
