Chatsworth
This morning I was off to Chatsworth House where the final workshops were being held. Chatsworth is magnificent but I was not in the mood for such opulence and wealth and found it all rather obscene. We were in the stables, now converted to conference rooms and a restaurant. I have to say I was a bit talked-out by this point but had been specifically asked to go. I legged it after lunch and walked down the 100mile drive to wait for Will to pick me up and dodge the hefty car parking fee. We went in search of stone circles - specifically the 9 Maidens who had been turned to stone for dancing on the sabbath. I think we went the wrong way but ended up having a wonderful walk through a gorge, then dense forestry before emerging into heathland and the small circle. We were especially thrilled to see a fine example of dog vomit slime mould.
Totally wrecked, another pizza and an even earlier night
