Pont

Travelling north to Calais this morning we crossed the Seine by the Pont de Normandie. Of course this impressive bridge, as with a lot of bridges, is best seen from a distance - as here

But this time we didn’t stop, so this is the view from actually on the bridge.

We made good time to Calais and made straight for Auchan to buy a few things to take back with us and for Flunch - brilliant place for lunch.

Now we are back in our favourite Calais hotel - Maurice. I wonder how many times we have stayed here, it never changes. Definitely a hotel with a bit of class, we love it. Ferry in the morning.
