The First Day of Summer

More pea shelling, lettuce planting, border feeding, weeding, grass cutting.  And, l ask you, why has the flat bathroom tap started dripping? Kofi Annan surely never had days like this.

CMC has ordered me a bottle of whisky - she fairly thrusts the golden mixture on me, first fill bourbon 20yrs 52.7% ABV.

Life can be complicated but, even at the age of 4, l remember thinking 'you knew where you were with the Woodentops'.
