All packed and ready to fly to Los Angeles tomorrow. Hopefully, my next blip will include photographs from a place I tried to visit last time I was in Los Angeles way back in 1990. 

My in-flight reading material is ready, Four Past Midnight, a cracking collection of four novellas by the incomparable Stephen King. I've finished the first two, but I'm pretty sure that at over 200 pages each the next two will last me the duration of the holiday. Somewhat ominously, the first story, The Langoliers, takes place mainly on an aeroplane flying from Tokyo to LAX. We will be flying first from Itami Airport to Tokyo Haneda Airport, then from Tokyo Haneda to LAX. Let me put it this way, even if our JAL flight is equipped with three-point seatbelts, they wouldn't help us much if we encounter what the passengers in The Langoliers encountered.
