Ballykissane Centenary Loop Walk
The excellent weather has continued for another day - it may even last the whole week, if the local forecasts are to be believed :-)
We walked directly from the cottage this morning, and onto the Ballykissane Centenary Loop Walk, which - if interested - you can read a lot more about here. All made for about a 10km stroll - no major expeditions this week ... there will be enough of those, the week after next, when we head over to Skye!
Main snap shows 'R' walking past an upturned boat along the route, with the North Atlantic Ocean on her left, the Dingle Peninsula in the background, and the Ballykissane-wetlands on the right ... such a beautiful spot :-)
1st extra shows the route near the start-point; 2nd extra shows 'R' on a coastal-section of the loop; and the 3rd extra the famous Ballykissane Pier, which has a fascinating - and tragic - past.
We walked through Killorglin en-route, and made time to go and visit the permanent Pauline Bewick exhibition at the County Kerry buildings: see 4th extra.
Off to Killarney and Lough Leane, for the day, tomorrow :-)
