A thank you bouquet
I ordered a bouquet to be delivered to my middle sister yesterday. This was to thank her for dealing with all the hassle at Mummy hazelh's (now old) house last week, especially on Friday when she and her husband had to return to the house again to clear a (literal) mess left by our not-so-little sister. My middle sister sent me this photo of the flowers this morning.
When the bouquet first arrived, my (naughty) niece Ailish removed the florist's card that included my message of thanks. She replaced it with a 'new' card that read: 'I have not stopped thinking about you since we broke up. I hear that you are with a new man, but he has nothing on me. Take me back and we will live a long and happy life. Your one true love'. The author was my middle sister's first 'proper' boyfriend. Their split was entirely his fault. He shouldn't have gone off with a girl from my class when we were on our family holiday in the highlands in summer 1980! The card was amongst the documents that Mr hazelh took down from the attic a couple of weeks ago. I'm glad that it has already been put to good use :-)
This morning I followed my usual Wednesday routine at the gym. This afternoon I have continued work on Mummy hazelh admin. The latter has mainly involved preparing some items for sale on Facebook marketplace.
We have also arranged for my not-so-little sister to take Mummy hazelh to Holy Island for a few days next month. This means that Mr hazelh and I will be able to go and stay with Bella and David in Biggar for a weekend while we are 'free'.
Two members of this household will watch the England-Netherlands Euro semi-final this evening. I will hover nearby.
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; aquafit class; swim (20 lengths); walking (12,871 steps).
