Dental stars
This is part of the constellation of Pegasus found in a section of flooring at the dental hospital. It's a legacy of a wing of the Lauriston Building that used to be a paediatric ward. (The stars on the ceiling have been removed.)
I was at the dental hospital this morning for the removal of a lump in my gum. The offending tissue is now en route for analysis. It is not expected to be anything more than a random growth. Fingers crossed that this turns out to be the case.
My second trip out today was also of a medical nature: for the podiatrist to fit my new insoles. I walked home very comfortably in my newly enhanced footwear.
I'm waiting to see if the pain and bleeding predicted by the dentist will make an appearance later this evening. The anaesthetic has definitely worn off, yet so far I feel nothing...
Exercise today: walking (22,211 steps).
