Cinquefoil

A massive thunderstorm kept us awake last night. Twice, lightning struck near us, with a bang that we could feel as well as hear.

Today was not as hot as yesterday, but very humid with occasional rain showers. Nevertheless, B and I went for our walk in the afternoon. We talked all the way, and I completely forgot to take a picture. So there’s a close up of the cinquefoil or five-finger flowers. These low shrubs grow along the border between our front garden and the street.
