We are finally home after a very long drive back from London. We left our daughter’s house in South London at just after 11am and got back home after 6.30pm. There had been a lorry fire on the A1 which caused it to be closed northbound from 12.30pm until 6pm, so we had to divert via Leicester to get across to the M1, which was very slow going.

 I had a quick wander round the garden when we got back and noticed that this rose had flowered whilst we were away.
