Shopping...

for a muffler! Fun Wow..My choice? A cheap one that won't last or a pricier one that will.. and no, they do not come in colours...

My first option was get the work done at my car dealership, but the only choice  they offered was to replace the entire system..very very pricey..Upon the recommendation of two employees of said dealership (!)  I went elsewhere - to a little shop where two young fellows  specialize in exhaust systems and actually know how to weld. SO..they do not have to replace the entire system, just the part that is pooched...and that is much much less pricey.... and it turns out they do repair work for the dealerships! Bonus! 

The little shop does not have a fancy waiting lounge with cableTV and coffee delivered to your seat.  There is a tiny and very messy "reception area" that is covered in a layer of dust and a hard wooden bench with no back upon which to sit..but the fun thing is that they take you right into the shop and you stand under your car and they point our the issue and explain everything in detail..and then give you a very small bill at the end - to pay for the repair, not to subsidize a fancy lounge. 

My little car is ever so grateful for the repair..it has more pep and it no longer sounds like a sports car revving its engines as I drive down my quiet little street. (My neighbours are also grateful....) 

This was the highlight of my day - the rest of it was nothing to write home about! I am still recovering from my transition from cottage to home..There is so much to do here and so little energy to do it! More naps are required...
