'Four Little Ducks.....'
Went swimming one day! Except they didn't. You know what is said about working with children and animals, well these ducks refused to stay upright or in the same place in the bath (it might have helped if I'd switched off the tap!) so they were put back on the shelf for this emergency blip.
It's an emergency blip because we reached 7pm and I didn't have one in the camera. First thing this morning it was Fitness Session for Angela and I followed by mid morning coffee and puzzles (Hobblwordl; Connections; Strands; Full Rainbow and Wafflenet). In recovery from chucking a 5kg weight around, I didn't do a great deal else till after lunch and then we went up to pick blackcurrants from the allotment before the orienteering began on the television. The World Orienteering Sprint Champs are taking place in Edinburgh over the next few days. We did briefly consider going but we have been very busy in the first half of this year and we had decided to enter Croeso (The Welsh Six Days) this summer so really couldn't stretch to another holiday, much as we love Edinburgh and the orienteering. So instead I paid for the tv coverage (ha, that worked well!) so we could watch the first race, the Individual Sprint, around the snickets and gunnel's and fine buildings in the City Centre. We had a podium finish for Grace, 6th in the Women's Race and our other British Squad orienteers didn't disgrace themselves. In between the Men and Women's Races, I jogged down to the village for fish and chips so that we didn't need to think about cooking.
