Monarch Butterfly ...

... and friends.

Today was so much more pleasant than the past few days.  Perhaps with a little less sun but the temps and humidity were down.  

With that in mind we planned on having a picnic supper at Jacobsburg State Park.  On the way up there we stopped at our favorite sandwich shop for some sandwiches to enjoy at the park.

After we enjoyed our sandwiches we had a lovely walk.  Two of the pictures in my collage were taken during that walk ... the beautiful male monarch butterfly and the eastern cottontail bunny.  The blue jay picture was taken earlier in the day at home.  

And speaking of monarch butterflies ... some of the eggs we collected the other day have hatched.  We now have three very tiny caterpillars. Yay!
