11th ENE Scouts

By persevere

Right, when I count to three, dive in.....

......one...<splash><sigh>.

Lazy start today before inspection netted the best results of the week thus far, the Scouts are really starting to get the hang of this patrol camping and if we were here for another two weeks, I think they'd be camping to a high standard.

A grey and grizzly day to start, but by 11am the haar had burnt-off and we were enjoying another cracking blue sky.

We headed off to Stavanger for our scheduled weekly wash swimming pool trip only to find that our pool was closed for the weekend. After a brief but frantic search (the mob was turning ugly as well as smelly), we found an open-air lido for swimming and sun-bathing. I'm quite pleased not to be there when the life guard discovers the filth scum around the edge of his swimming pool and our Scouts have changed colour.

I've actually just left them in town with the other leaders to return to camp for a meeting about the lack of meetings, they'll be back later for tea and the formal closing finale (Here's hoping it's not as boring as the opening ceremony and Scout's Own service).

It's a beautiful blue sky Friday evening in Norway.
