Wimpole Barn

This morning Kate and I went to see Marieke and Mark's new, spectacular home in Hartest near Bury St Edmunds.  As you can see it's a beautifully light, modern conversion of a barn with gorgeous views of the fields and countryside around.  The living area is upstairs with the views and the bedrooms and all sorts of other extra rooms are downstairs.  They have worked so hard, and with such vision, over the last year to make this the spectacular 'Grand Designs' space it is, but it's really worth it.

It was lovely to catch up with them and finally see the place. Quite frankly... it's the perfect house for parties!
