Beach view

I went for a short walk with my husband this morning.  It was a sunny start to the day and when we arrived at the beach it was very calm.  There was a relaxed feel to the day and several people were out.  A few were swimming, some just relaxing on the beach others were having a coffee or breakfast, walking the dog for joining the queue for fresh fish.  You can just see the fishing boats if you zoom in.  I walked along to the estuary and spotted a heron in the water fishing, see extra.

After this we returned home for coffee.  I then decided to do some work on the allotment as we were forecast to have a little rain later in the day. After lunch the rain had not materialised so I continued the weeding and planting of the golden beetroot seedlings.  I came across so many slugs and found a favourite daytime hiding place, under the base of the squash plants.  By the time I had finished it was quite late and time to get back home to cook tea.
