A warm welcome...
Playing catch up and writing this five days later so hope I can remember all the lovely things that happened :-)))
We were invited to friend (and blipper) LeeAnne's new place at Netherbyres. She has teased me with video clips and photos of her new flat and now I get to see it for real! Having been to Netherbyres a few times and knowing how fabulous the main house is, I know I am going to LOVE what LeeAnne has done to her not so wee corner.
We left slightly later than planned No Shit Sherlock! but got there in time for a late lunch. Picked LeeAnne up and headed to The Ship in Eyemouth. Fab food and they had pistachio ice cream. My absolute favourite! :-) Then back to LeeAnne's.
Wow! Her place is amazing! The building is full of character and she has exploited that to the max in her garden flat. Decor, soft furnishings, furniture, knick knacks, art...a place for everything and everything has its place. A feast for my eyes wherever I look and so comfortable and welcoming. She is so creative and her new place has allowed her to show that to perfection. This little printer's tray is on the wall of her guest bedroom. Look at the lovely welcome and attention to detail. A lovely touch :-)
Once we got our stuff organised (I am sure she thought we were there for a month as D unpacked the car! :D ) we settled in her beautiful and very comfortable lounge for an evening of catching up.
Stuffed after our three course lunch we weren't sure we would manage dinner, but lo and behold the munchies took hold and the three us us tucked into a beautiful picnic tea of cold meats, salad and lots of delicious sides. Perfect. And I am happy to report that she loved my chocolate mint cake. I enjoyed a Chunk of her malteser slice....I've taught her well :D
D headed off to bed and LeeAnne and I managed another hour of chat before tiredness took over and I headed off to bed, looking forward to spending the night in her gorgeous guest room.
A lovely day :-)))
