An ordinary life....

Cute entrance...

and exit.

I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow in LeeAnne's lovely guest bedroom, and didn't stir till 8am.  That's unheard of!

D was up before me (no change there) and when I left the bedroom Pepsi (her beautiful cat) was waiting for me.  I've been amazed at how unfazed she's been by us.  I thought she would hide away for the duration of our visit but she's been curious and friendly.  The cat I mean, not LeeAnne :-))

I rarely drink coffee in the morning but LeeAnne made me such a delicious cup with smooth frothy milk, I couldn't resist.  Prior to the delicious full cooked breakfast, LeeAnne produced raw croissant dough.  All that had to be done was roll them into shape and put them in the oven.  Simples.  But not for us!  It was like a Mensa test trying to work out how they should be rolled, even with full instructions!  We decided to let D have a go, looking forward to laughing at his efforts but to our astonishment he took one look, rolled one and it looked perfect!  Hahahahaha....he has hidden talents!

Well they looked good and smelled good and although not awful, they weren't as good as their pre-made flaky bakery versions so don't think any of us will be buying again soon.

The cooked breakfast was absolutely delish, especially with such a great kitchen to eat in.  Then back to the lounge for a post brekkie blether.

Our plan had been to spend the day with LeeAnne and go to North Berwick or Berwick upon Tweed, then have a fish supper at the Harbour for tea before heading home late evening, but a phone call from my GP telling me that my UTI had returned and she wanted me to start antibiotics asap scuppered those plans.  Got a text from the pharmacy to say my prescription was ready so we reluctantly said our goodbyes and headed back home.  I was so tempted to stay on till this evening, but knowing how quickly I took ill with sepsis previously, I figured it was probably wise to go home.

Stopped at the pharmacy on the way and had the first dose.  So much for the new medication keeping infection away.  I've been on it for three weeks and felt so much better not being on antibiotics.  Oh well.  At least I know I should be well for Andrew and Nikki's wedding next week.
