Sunset for Southgate?

We had planned to go out for an Italian meal tonight only to discover our two local restaurants had  closed early. Football. The Euros.  A walk confirmed it. A deathly hush hung over our wee town. Just like Christmas.
 Nothing for it but to switch on the telly . 
Even I, a complete football ignoramus quickly sussed out the Spanish team were superior and destined to win.
I feel sorry for Gareth Southgate, the English manager.
