Half the family

During early Summer 2020 L AND I dug a new, slightly larger, wildlife pond, still only 4 ft x 3ft. Twentyfour hours after filling it newts moved in, apart from that and the odd frog it’s occupancy has been a little disappointing compared to the original even smaller pond that regularly had ten or so frogs. J keeps a close eye on things and has recently reported two or three on occasion, today she saw nine! pretty  much in two groups in different parts of the pond. If you look care fully you can find four in this group, the others were partially hidden beneath pond plants.
