Busy day
The sun was shining so it was a let's wash everything type of day. I did several loads and it was all pegged out to dry. Terry finished painting the shed repairs in the morning and then in the afternoon he mowed both lawns (since I can't do it re taking care with the eye) then when I said I was going to sweep up the mess from the trees on the avenue (tiny brownish gold flowers blow onto our drive, paths and cars) - if you leave them and they get wet they stain the flags. They also clog the drains if they get that far.
I've mended a top of mine which had come apart at the seam on the front and done a few bits and bats but still being cautious - it's not for long. I think I will be well and truly fed up with eyedrops before the 6 weeks of them are up. I pulled up a few weeds but not many! It's a good job I held back re my cataract till after Terry had his hip replacement because if we'd had them near together and both been recovering we'd have been snookered.
Eye feels a bit grim first thing but continues to improve. I still had not received the text I was supposed to get about the time of my follow-up appointment tomorrow, so late morning I rang the number given. After 11 minutes of automated bureaucracy I pressed a number (none of the numbers were relevant but I chose the nearest one) only to get another automated message that the person was busy, to call later, then the call was ended! How bloody irritating. Therefore I rang Sanderson Suite (Day Surgery suite where I went for my op) and they said they could not access appointments and unfortunately I'd have to use the other number but they'd transfer me now. Then they came back on the line to say they couldn't transfer me but they would see if they could find my appointment online. Yay! They did. 9am tomorrow. Still have not had the text I was supposed to get.
Only later did I realise that I had no idea where the NC Clinic is or what NC stands for! A search of the website yielded nothing but I phoned a friend who works in the hospital (we were nursing together on a medical ward) and she found out in a flash that it's at the Eye Clinic. I am still trying to work out the NC meaning - maybe No Cataract ha ha. Might be Nurse Clinician Clinic? Who knows!
Yesterday I was concerned that my eye had gone yellow (the white part) but said to Terry that it was probably due to breakdown of the bloodshot part (which was where they stuck the needle in to numb it) - then today I realised one of bottle of eyedrops has yellow fluid in! Doh.
