Weird
It's weird to keep a horse / pony on the street like this. It's chained up and has hay but it seems to be being kept there as I've passed twice recently and it's been there both times. the amount of horse muck tells me it's left there some time. I feel sorry for the creature. Tried reporting it to the RSPCA but their website is almost useless and I'm not sure they'd do anything anyway! That's the pavement where it is which means you have to walk in the road (not a busy road as it's a dead end for most vehicles although not for pedestrians and bikes) but that's not my concern, it's the poor creature!
Had my appointment re follow-up after cataract surgery. Not great news. The consultant mixed me up with another patient initially and said he will list me and called me Mrs Price! To be fair he was having a right time with the computer system as it was buffering for ten minutes every time he tried to access anything. He said my Fuch's dystrophy problem is causing swelling and to increase the pred forte drops from 4 times a day to 6. He will see me again in three weeks and hopefully the swelling will have improved but if not "we'll have to do a cornea transplant". This isn't the news I was hoping to hear. I really hope that the problem settles down and I don't need that. Fingers crossed.
The day was a bit of a pain in more ways than one. Terry had dropped me off at the hospital and gone to Morrisons for 3-4 items and we arranged for me to ring him once I was set free.
I got out just after half past nine and rang him - and rang him and rang him - it kept going straight to voicemail. I rang our landline - no answer. I tried several more times and then sent him email and a whatsapp message! God knows why - as if he had no signal he wouldn't be getting those either!
I set off walking, along the route he would normally come to collect me and I left a voicemail message telling him this, expecting that once he had a signal again he'd get that and pick me up on the route.
I kept trying him on the way from time to time.
I got to half a mile from home and still not heard from him; the blurry eye didn't help with walking and I began to feel sweaty and faint. I sent a message to our neighbour asking was she home (so I could ask her to give Terry a nudge as I expected he must be home by now) and she replied she was at her mum's (across the road) so I rang her but it cut off! She rang me and she said his car isn't there but she'll pick me up - very kind of her. I arrived home but had no keys so ended up in her mum's and Danielle went to try to find Terry thinking he might be driving around the hospital!
Finally he rang me and the messages he'd tried to send me pinged in. He had been sitting in his car on Screwfix car park waiting to hear from me (if I had brought my crystal ball, I'd have know that)! After some time of hearing nothing and my phone going straight to voicemail when he rang, he restarted his phone and then my phone rang.
Well this was weird as well!
Not long after we were all at Danielle's mum's and I had 3 bars on the signal on my phone but when they tried ringing it, it went to voicemail. I restarted it and all was fine.
What the heck is going on with this?! I really don't understand what was wrong there. I am wondering at the weirdness of the phone problem when the hospital computer system was also playing up - was something causing some interference?
