Porth Nanven
I'm in Cornwall for a few days. My pal John and I decided to have a trip down here before the schools break up and it becomes very crowded. It was set to rain all morning so we didn't leave until midday and sure if enough, it threw it down all the way and just started to clear as we arrived in Hayle where we're booked into a purple hotel. We planned to sort ourselves out then meet up again in half an hour but the rain came in again so we settled ourselves in the bar until it cleared.
By 4.30 it seemed to clear so we set off for Porth Nanven, which is a fairly secluded little bay near St Just, known for it's round boulders that have become known as dinosaur eggs. I thought the tide might be alright but it was a bit lower than I had hoped. The weather had settled down and although the light was fairly harsh, I was reasonably happy with what I'd taken. I've put up a portrait version as my main blip and added a panorama from a different viewpoint. As well as the 'dinosaur eggs' you also get these lovely rocky islands, The Brisons, on the horizon.
Edit Tuesday morning: I've swapped them round since posting.
