Early Morning
A welcome breeze came up as we stood on the back porch; it didn't last long, and the day settled into a long, hot one. I was disgruntled about so many things, sort of like swatting at mosquitos: the less than perfect window repair, the failing star jazmine I coaxed along for so long, the political stuff - you name it, I could scoff at it. Then I had a cold supper with Dianne and we cheered each other up: nothing beats a good friend who lets you bitch and moan - and laugh.
